The principles I work by — a commitment to your safety, wellbeing, and the highest standards of professional practice.
I will do my utmost to make sure the client's welfare and physical and mental wellbeing is my primary consideration.
I will uphold the safety of myself and the client. I will not engage in verbal, physical or sexual abuse of any client, nor will I discriminate against any client on the basis of race, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity or disability. If I am informed that a vulnerable child or adult is in danger, I have the responsibility of informing the correct body of authority — for example, the safeguarding team.
I will uphold the ethical frameworks, professional standards, and values of the NCH, GHR, CNHC, and NGH.
To support safe, ethical, and effective practice, I:
I will not go beyond my training and skill capability. As and when required, I will recommend to a client the benefits of another practitioner with an alternative skill set, experience or qualification.
I will be truthful in everything I advertise regarding my own practice.
My training took place in London, where I was trained to an industry-leading standard by HypnoTC. I will continue on my path of learning and development as I strive to do my best for my clients and their needs.
I am not a medical professional, so I will not diagnose, treat or prescribe for medical issues or conditions. With the agreement of the client, I may contact their GP so they are aware that I am working with their patient.
I will stop a session if the intake form provided is not correct, or if false information has been given. I will also stop a session if a client becomes verbally or physically abusive, and I will not start a session if I believe I am not the right hypnotherapy practitioner for that client.
Under no circumstances will I discredit any of my fellow hypnotherapy associates.
